This phone will always be in our home. If it should ever break, I will run out and buy a new one.
When I went to buy a new phone, about a year ago, I had intended on getting a head set that would attach into our current phone. I wanted something I could use while making my several dozen phone calls per day. This phone caught my eye. It's a cordless headset.
I can walk around while talking on the phone, I'm not limited to being attached to a headset that is attached to a phone.
The Cons:
#1 -- As with most products, there are cons. The first is, if you're using it as a main phone, before you can answer calls, you have to put the headset on. It is simply a head band, but it's still kind of awkward in the middle of the night.
#2 -- It doesn't have call display. In this day and age, I really like to see if I'm answering a business call, or simply a telemarketer that won't go away. (I finally ended up subscribing to the newspaper just to get that last persuasive company off the phone!) So, if I get a new version of this phone, it will be with call display. (Caller ID.)
Battery Talk-Time:
The battery talk time on this phone is amazing. It can sit without being recharged for approximately 4 days. (this is without too much talking.) Since I talk an incredibly long time every day, I switch the batteries daily. Two batteries came with this phone, so I can always leave one in the convenient charging base, and have the other around the house with me.
The Charging Base:
This charging base is great. Even for the first use, all I had to do was plug in the phone to the telephone jack, and to the electrical outlet, wait five minutes, and it worked. Whenever I go house-sitting, I bring the phone, and stick it in their outlet so I can use my own cordless headset. This may sound cheesy, but I really do love this phone that much. I never realize how inconvenient regular phones, or even cordless phones were to hold before! It is incredibly easy to take with you if you house-sit.
Range:
The range is also a great feature of this phone. Apparently I could walk down to the end of the street, and it would still work. I haven't had any urge to try, but I have been in the backyard, watering plants, while using this headset. It has no static even that far away from the base. I can't say the same for our regular cordless!
Durability:
I haven't smacked around this phone too much, but it has dropped from my desk several times. The battery has popped off, and the headset does have a bit of a crack. (it got slammed in the filing cabinet once.) And it still works just as perfectly as before.
And one last really good secret!!!
When someone else is using a phone in the house, I can pick up on this phone, and you can honestly not tell at all. There is no click whatsoever, either when you pick up, or hang up. I don't use it as a spying tool, but I have accidentally picked up on calls before. I thought I'd add that - it's definitely a benefit that isn't listed in their user guide!
Overall!
I definitely recommend this phone. The pros outweigh the minor cons easily! It's getting less expensive as time goes by, and is great for small businesses!
