The reason I first bought Perry Ellis 360 for Women was that I loved the shape of the bottle. It's a tall, thin cylinder with a translucent glass ball at the top. I had been looking for a more grown-up scent and since the design of the bottle looked very elegant, I thought I'd take a chance and buy it. I was tired of fruity and floral smells, and I didn't think I'd ever be old enough for those strong Chanel-type perfumes. There was no sample bottle, so I didn't have a clue whether or not I'd be disappointed with my purchase. That was almost 10 years ago.

THE BASICS
Perry Ellis 360 comes in a tall, slender, cylindrical spray bottle with a pearl-like cap. The top is gold with Perry Ellis etched into it. The perfume itself is yellow so that the effect of the bottle design conjures thoughts of regal gold elegance. The scent is somewhat strong with a hint of spiciness. It's hard to pinpoint the actual fragrance but it's almost like nutmeg. It's rich and distinct yet smells familiar.

Perry Ellis 360 for Women is available at perfume discount stores, many chain drug stores, and online at drugstore.com (currently selling for $35). I bought my bottle at Filene's Basement. A 1.7 oz bottle retails for $45.

It is also available in a 3.4 oz. Eau de Toilette ($59), a 6.7 oz. body lotion ($22), a 6.7 oz. shower gel ($20), and a 5 oz. dusting powder ($30). I have only purchased the 1.7 oz. Eau de Toilette spray.

MY EXPERIENCE
Needless to say, I fell in love with 360. It's the only perfume I've ever gotten compliments about from complete strangers. I remember being in a perfume store once when a woman tapped me on the shoulder and asked me what I was wearing. She said it was just the type of scent she had been in search of. Go figure. In a store full of smells, she picked out mine!

My husband even loves it, and he's usually not very picky about smells. He thinks it's very sexy and he can't keep his hands off of me when I wear it (so I wear it sparingly). It is long lasting and a little goes a long way. I spray this perfume in moderation. The scent is too strong to apply all over. But one light spritz on my wrists and rubbed behind my ears and knees is usually enough to catch attention throughout the day.

Although some of the other reviews I read here about this perfume describe it as mild, to me it's strong, but not in a sharp way. Instead of those overpowering, headache-inducing smells, Perry Ellis 360 has a warm, rich scent that literally surrounds you. It's very sensual and a little goes a long way. I've worn it for special occasions and first encounters. It's an enchanting scent that makes a great first impression.
