Cons: Not freestanding, leaks small amount of dish soap around sink when not in use
The Bottom Line: The 3M Heavy Duty Dish Wand is a revolutionary way to dishes and a very original product. I reccomend this product for small kitchens and college dorms.

I am a young man in college, and I am a little bit afraid to say this... but I had fun washing the dishes. Who expected this, I am surprised as you are I swear.
Before I tell you my experiance with the 3M Heavy Duty Dish Wand, there is a little background you need to know first. I am the youngest of five kids and have always looked up to my big brothers. Since I am the youngest, that means I am the last one to enter college. Thereby through logic all my brothers have been through college before me. The college attended by all of us is about half an hour from our original residence, so I visited them often.
Starting with the oldest I remember seeing this contraption in their apartments. It took seeing it a few times for me to ask about it. After learning of its use I remember begging my parents for one at home. However I never received one, from thence forth each time I visited one of my brothers I would covet this device.
Now that I am in college I had to buy it, and I have not been disapointed with it.
As you may or may not know the wand dispenses liquid dish soap automatically, and when more power is needed there is even a button to pump out more. the wand is equipped with a scotch brite/sponge. that works really well on dirty dishes. At first I thought I would only be able to use the wand on plates and things of the sort. However, it is very manueverabe. I haven't found a type of dish I haven't been able to wash. Even really deep cups and awkward pans, I haven't had a single problem, I just breeze through each one. I also don't have to get my hands wet, or touch the nasty food left on the plate.
I was glad to pay about $2.50 for mine, and have not needed to buy the refill yet.
This wand is probably most practical when dishes only need to be done occasionally and in small amounts. In college dorms our small kitchens. If greater amount of dishes need to be done it would probably be faster to do it the old fashion way.
Amongst all the excitement this wand gives me, I do wish it had one more feature. When not in use the wand leaks a little bit of dish soap and is kind of awkward around the sink. It has a rounded bottom so it can't stand on its own.
