Pros: Looks like it cost more. Reliable drag.
Cons: Handle it and you know is wasn't hand machined, etc.
It seems to me a lot of money spent on reels is dedicated to looks or label. If you're bothered in those areas, perhaps you should spend your money on a Ross or some exotic reel. Moreover, if you fish a lot, this one will likely not hold up. I fish about 30 days/year, and I use this reel about 10 days per year. It is on its third year and looks/functions like new. The drag is moderately good, again all one typically needs to land trout under twenty inches. I fish it with a 4 wt line in the Rockies in tight, small water. Big water, bigger fish, more days fishing, big ego -- buy something better.
