On special occasions, like Christmas morning, we like to have Mimosas for the adults in the group. Our gatherings also often include children who shouldnt have alcohol (its illegal most places, right?) and dont want to feel left out. So whenever we get champagne or sparkling wine and orange juice for the adults we get a bottle or two of Bel Normande Sparkling Apple Juice for the younger crowd to enjoy. Although it can be mixed with orange juice to make a non-alcoholic Mimosa, we find they are just as happy to have it in a glass fresh from the chilled bottle.

Bel Normande Sparkling Apple Juice
The thing that seems to make Bel Normande Sparkling Apple Juice a good non-alcoholic accompaniment to sparkling wine is that it comes in a bottle that looks like a champagne bottle. It is also a very friendly drink, containing only apple juice and sparkling water. The apple juice gives it a reddish-pink tinge and the sparkling water gives it the bubbles you see when champagne is in a champagne flute. It is not over-carbonated, but does give that extra zing of sparkling wine or water. The taste is clean and children seem to love it. So do adults.
We chill our champagne and right along with it the sparkling apple juice. When we pull it out to pour, we pull both and open them at the same time. We always ask the non-alcohol drinkers whether they want Mimosa or just champagne. We also do that for those who like the adult beverages. We pour them at the same time and the youngsters feel like they are part of our grown-up world. It makes those special occasions special for all of us.
