I purchased this receiver almost a year ago now. I am extremely satisfied with it's performance.
As stated above, the only negative comment I have about the stereo is the remote control. It is very cheap-looking and useless for the most part. The buttons are very small and their corresponding functions are written in teeny-weeny letters that are hard to read in a dimly-lit room.
However, overall I am very impressed with the quality of this receiver. One of the selling points for me was it's quality construction. It is all metal (including the face) which is usually a sign of a well-built piece of equipment. There are a limited number of sound options to choose from, which to me is a positive feature. Unlike other brands (I won't say names), selecting the right sound effect isn't a confusing guessing game that can extend into a half-hour project.
DVD's with DTS sound great with this receiver. I purchased Infinity surround sound speakers for this unit and the quality is very impressive. The unit has good amplifying power (no hissing) and produces crisp high notes and booming bass.
I highly recommend this unit to everyone!!! You won't regret it.
