I got this stereo as a present so I cant say how much it was bought for. From the moment I saw this stereo I immediately loved it. The body of it is brushed steel giving it a sturdy powerful look to it. The two speakers are made of wood which contributes to the awesome acoustic capabilities of this system. The top of the system has a glass hatch which opens and closes when you press a button on either the unit itself or on the remote. This system is very small and compact yet it somehow can play music much louder than you would expect. and contrary to what the details say on the previous page it does have a headphone jack and I can play Cd-r and cd-rw as long as they are burned on the cd as a .wav file. The system keeps accurate time and can be used as an alarm clock which I do because it can wake me up because I turn the volume up really loud. It displays a digital readout of the time as well as a display of the time in an electronic analog display. The radio can be programmed to hold up to twenty saved radio stations. The remote it comes with is perfect you can operate the entire system from across the room. And when you are going to bed you can dim the lights so it doesnt disturb you while you are trying to fall asleep. This stereo is a beautiful addition to your home or office.
