| alexaugot's Full Review: JVC GR-DVM50 Camcorder |
The damn thing is so cool. The JVC GR-DVL9500 ($1,500 street) delivers outstanding image quality and a bleeding-edge feature set. Throw in a host of features and you've got a versatile camera that's ideal for a range of consumer, sports videos, and corporate applications.
The GR-DVL9500 offers an intriguing feature set that includes progressive-scan video, still-image recording, and a high-speed, 60-fps capture mode ideal for viewing clips in slow motion. Effects such as wipes, fades, and dissolves are easy to custom configure, and special modes such as sepia, strobe, and black-and-white recording are available during capture or playback. You can assemble up to eight clips with transitions and special effects inside the camera for direct dubbing to VCRs. The unit has six still-image capture modes, including high-speed capture (every 0.7 seconds) and programmable flash.
The only problem I can see, is the price, which is HUGE. If you're hurting in the wallet department, you might not wanna go in for this. Other wise, this IS the digital video camera for you.
