This JVC DV Camcorder is yet to be perfected when it comes to sound. After 6 hours of use this lightweight attractive looking 3.8 inch viewing unit was more than disappointing. Inconsistent sound had forced me to rush it to the service department for a tune up. The unsuccessful repair allowed me to trade it in for a alternate competitor. My new choice was astonishing. Friends in the business had reported the same sound problems when the JVC GR-DVL9500 gets warm. My cries to JVC customer service had returned absolutely no responses, this caused me to look elsewhere for a digital product that I could rely on such as Canon. My alternate choice allowed me to compare the real macoys. Sound quality and ease of use from my new choice has finally made me a happy novice cameraman.
