| reviewingman1's Full Review: Sony Walkman D-EJ611 Personal CD Player |
Intro.. I bought this CD player...
I bought this player online for 89.99 but it cost around 100.00 after tax and stuff. I thought It was a little expensive but I figured I would give it a try. I have always been a fan of Sony's audio products, and most of the CD players I have are Sonys. I have quite a few CD players.

My opinion on the features...I have gotten some complaints.
I have gotten a few comments on my reviews that said my reviews don't represent my opinion good. I would like to take this time to fix that and explain and give my opinion on the different features of this player. Ok first the program play. It is a very convienent tool. For example I used it as I went to sleep. But the program also is a little bit of a hassel to set up. If you just want music, but want to be suprised at what songs you hear. I recommend the random mode. It chooses a song at random off the CD for your listening pleasure. Oh...the rechargable batteries. They are something that is a must if I get a player. If you don't get rechargable batteries I feel that I am just going to have to pay more for batteries in the future. I really need an AC adapter. I don't like to waste any of my precious battery life. I also like the remote, it makes the system all around easier to use and it makes it look cooler. One really cool thing is the line out. It makes it capable to hook it up to anything that has aux jaks on it. I went to radio shack to get the cable so I can hook it up to other larger audio players. It also came in handy for the month when my home audio system broke down. I mean the cd player part of it did. I was able to hook this up and still play my CD's!

Looks...This one hit the spot for me.
This is one Cd player where I really liked the design. It is perfectly round and just a little bit bigger than a cd. I have to warn you that I scratched this player very easily. What ever they use to add the silverish shine comes off pretty easy. That was the only really big problem I had with this player.

Skipping... None here!
Mine has never skipped yet. I have rode a bike, walked, jogged, and ran and it still hasn't missed a beat. This is a huge plus. I cannot stand skips. Sony uses G-protection & it has 40 seconds anti-shock buffer.

ALVS...Good for some, not for me.
The automatic volume limiting system. Something that is unique to sony. I prefer listening to most of music without it. If I am ganna blast my ears I would just take it off anyway. I do like using it for when I let people borrow it, so they don't blast my headphones. It is also good for parents worried about there childrens hearing. But as I said I do not use this feature because I would constantly have to turn it on and off depending on how loud the music is.

Sound Quality...Good sound, great bass.
Now onto the most important quality of any audio device, sound. This CD player has something I really love, that is 3-Level base, No base, some base, and a whole lot of base are your choices. I recommend keeping it on full base, thats what I do. The sound quality on this player is pretty good. As you make it louder and louder the base starts to decrease,or rather not increase as the sound gets louder. This therfore makes the sound sound more trebely. Besides this one negative the sound is rather clear and up to my standards. The only fuzziness is sometimes when you switch songs, but than again, that doesn't matter, there is no music playing at the time. Overall the sound quality met and surpassed my standards.

The remote contol...Another sony first.
The remote is something I love.(How many times have I said I love something by now?lol, if you count put it in a comment, lol) It is well made and the buttons are well placed. Another Sony plus.

Conclusion... A well built player.
In conclusion this has been one of my favorite players. It is a very good player if you have high sound standards but you don't need perfect. Also be gentle with this baby, the paint comes off easy. If looks and ease of use are the factors that are the most important to you this is the player for you.
