| hunkiemunkey's Full Review: Sony DAV-S300 Theater System |
I brought this DVD package because an all in one system would be so much easier to use. When I unpacked it and began to put it together, I couldn't believe how easy it was to put together. Well Done Sony! The 5 little speakers (20W per channel) are very compact which can be a turn off for some people, but they do their their job well, sounding nice and clear along with the bass of the Sub Woofer (30w). The Sub Woofer is great on those action films when the explosions happen, adding real shake to the room. The system also sounds very good when playing CD's, though it can't play homemade CD's (CD-R, CD-RW). The picture is extremely good as well, though I have encountered better picture quality on more expensive DVD players. It makes very good partner to my Sony Wega 32" TV. The system itself looks nice and sleek as well, looking like a new Millennium product. The Remote also matched the sleekness of the system. Other rivals (Panasonic SC-HT70) may be more powerful, but none of them are as good value as the Sony.
