Pros: Massive sound output with no distortion
Cons: You need to shell-out alot of green for this baby.
The Bottom Line: If you want a good quality boombox and dont mind paying a little more cash this is the one. Good overall quality and great sound even at high volume.

| nconger's Full Review: Panasonic RX-ES25 Cassette/CD Boombox |
This boombox comes with a good mixture of functions(CD & tape player and AM/FM tuner with 12 Am and 12 FM presets. I have heard all of the top boomboxes and I chose this one based on the sound quality and intensity. Sound Blaster mode on this one is great! Looked at the sony G50 but it had some distortion problems when you crank the volume up. Panasonic performed much better. My advice to someone who has a little time to shop around, is to go to a mega overpriced electronics store and listen to all of them side by side. Try not to get sucked into all the listed specs and all of the minor bells and whistles included on the system unless you really need that function. Judge a piece of audio equipment on the way it sounds.
Some good things about this boombox:
Front loading tray for CD is nice.
Backlit display is clear.
Equalizer settings are there but I dont use them.
Tape controls are soft touch.
Remote is good.
3-D sound works great.
Sound Blaster amp is great.
Some cons:
Hard to find this unit. (etronics.com $104 to my door)
Battery life is limited (4hr) in CD mode at mid vol
No auto-reverse on tape
Some features need remote to activate
Expensive. Most retailers sell for $120 +tx
Recommended:
Yes
Amount Paid (US$): 104
