Pros:Flat Free, Won’t Dry or Crack, Non Marring
The Bottom Line: Can’t go flat means it stays on the job making money; you got to love that!
Nothing is worse than having a job with time constraints and your crew has to stop to make a repair or worse, change a tire on a wheel barrel. Wheel Barrels are an essential item in that they move large amounts of sand, gravel, stone, cement, sod and a host of other materials. Having suffered through many flats we were at wits end. We had tried wheel/tires with inner tubes, kept flat fix aerosol on hand until we were hard pressed to find an alternative and found it in Marathons 4.8/4.0 - 8 Flat Free Wheelbarrow Tires and Wheels.

I suppose we should have done it sooner but when we rehab a property for a flip budget constraints really have to be a primary concern. Well, that applies to spending a little to make it as well so we opted to switch all our tires to the Marathon product.
The 4.8/4.0 - 8 Flat Free Wheelbarrow Tire is a solid, polyurethane tire with an amazing load capacity of 1,000 lbs., that wont dry or crack no matter what materials are exposed to it. You can use these tires inside as they wont mar floor surfaces. Pneumatic tires have a propensity to absorb water but as the Marathons are solid, that is not an issue. Roll offs, once more, not an issue as they are sealed, locking beads and can never come off the rim.
The Marathon tire measures 15 outside diameter with a 6 inch centered hub length on a 5/8 shaft. The tires are ribbed and are sure grip and non-slipping. You literally can push a loaded wheel barrel over a wet surface with certainty.
My only regret is that I had not made this move a long time ago.
