4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine has a long title and fills the needs of most off-road enthusiast. Published by Source Interlink Media - the same company that publishes JP Magazine, 4 Wheeler and others, 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine caters to the larger 4x4 community. While it does have articles about Jeeps, it also includes Ford Broncos, Toyotas, Scouts and many more.
The only problem with this magazine I see is that a person who owns a Toyota pickup might not be interested in Jeep articles. A person who owns a Jeep might not be interested in an article about Fords. And so on. So much of the magazine might not ever be read. That's why I'm a firm believer in vehicle-specific or type-specific magazines. If you like rock crawling, "Crawl Magazine" would be best (yes, they're coming back). If you like Jeeps, JP magazine would be best.

4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine is great for the customer waiting areas of a mechanic, dealership, parts store, fabrication shop or for someone involved in the 4x4 industry because it appeals to a more broad demographic of off-roaders. I suppose that if you were studying to be a mechanic or somehow involved in the 4x4 world, this magazine might offer you knowledge in a wide variety of vehicles and modifications - which would be quite beneficial. But for the average 4x4 enthusiast who owns one off-road vehicle, this might not be as perfect a match as a vehicle-specific or type-specific magazine might be. I find the photography and write-ups to be top notch and the advertisements are not too obtrusive. In fact, I never seem to get tired of looking at 4x4 ads since I'm a 4x4 enthusiast.
