Pros: 1. room saver
2. great look
3. quality sound for such a small system
Cons: 1. might not please a hardcore hi-fi nut, it is still a mini system afterall
The Bottom Line: i definitely recommend it over other competitions at the same price range.

the fact that you can place this system horizontally and vertically is one of its main selling point. there are probably some other systems that have better sound, look at a competitive price, but when you have a tight living space, the last thing you want is to make room for another piece of (nice) junk. this system actually fit in without sacrificing any space, instead of making room for it, it makes room for you.
but don't let its compact size fools you. the sound quality is above average for a mini system. although i don't have a chance to test out a HDCD yet, the system does a very good job on the regular cds (it plays cd-r too). great, smooth sound with the help of a set of very nice speakers. you might want to invest on some new speaker cables though as they only supply it with the regular (read: so-so) cables.
as for the look, the first time i saw this system was about two years ago, and even when compare to today's competition, it still has an up to date appearance, very cool, very elegant. the unit consists of silver and blue while the speakers are blue with wood in the front. the blue display is easy to read and simply beautiful.
also, it'll read a track's title, disc title and such, a plus for those of us who make their own music using a computer. i am not sure if most of the system have this feature, but i sure glad this one does. then of course you have the usual features: timer, random, program, md and cassette control for later addon.... and a not-so-special-but-it-does-its-job remote.
