| kgeter's Full Review: Aiwa XP-V70 Personal CD Player |
Features you'd expect on a full size CD player are present on the XP-V70. I've had three portable CD players, (2 Kenwoods and a Panasonic) all of which I returned for some reason or another. I just couldn't seem to find a portable player with all the features that I wanted, until now.
The little details really make a difference on the XP-V70: backlit LCD, full function display (with time remaining!), 3-LED battery power indicator, NiCd charger, button layout that makes sense, and numbers on the volume knob. These features are usually missing on other units. Some have one or two of these features, but not all on one unit. The most important to me is the full function backlit display: none of the other units I used had time remaining as a display option. I always hated not knowing where I was in a piece of music, sort of made me feel trapped.
More good things: a very solid feel, with a lid that clicks into the up position. Really an excellent value, half the price of some units that don't have all these features.
