| WhiteZX2Sport's Full Review: Aiwa XP-V70 Personal CD Player |
After many horrible experiences with other portable CD players in the past I thought I would never buy one again . . . but all that changed when I took home my AIWA.
Sound Quality:
The sound quality is great, and is just like that of any other CD player. After all, it is not the player that makes it sound great but the speakers. This AIWA's headphones had great sound, but were large and flimsy. To solve that problem I just purchased a pair of ear bud headphones. The anti-skip on this CD player is great. I had owned two RCAs and one SONY CD player before it. One of the RCAs had 40 second anti-skip, and the other a 45 second, the SONY had 10 second memory. The 40 second RCA was fine once it got the music in memory, but if you selected random, thus causing the player to not have any of the new song stored in it's memory, it would skip horribly. The 45 second RCA did not have this problem, but the batteries would not last more than 2 hours. The SONY was fine, but if the player was turned quickly from left to right it would skip. This AIWA is leagues above any of those. It never skipped once, and I like the fact that you can choose between 10 or 40 seconds.
Features:
This AIWA has the most intensive variety of ways to set it. You can go random, repeat 1, repeat all, choose a selected list of songs, or , best of all, have the selected songs play in a random order. It is supposed to have a twenty hour battery life but that is if it is never turned on or off, just left on constantly. The battery life, however, has proved very good and lasts about 16 hours. The LCD screen lights up. It has a car kit, and a two step DSL (Dynamic Super Liner Bass) button.
Portability:
The best feature about this player, though, is it's size. It is very narrow, and barley larger than a CD itself. It is light weight, yet feels well built.
Overall:
This is a great portable CD player. The music is so smooth and never skips you fell as though it is the radio. The battery life is great and so are the abundant features.
