Pros: Slim(fits in some of my pockets),Car adapter,LONG 21-hour battery life, Good price compared to similar products.Plenty of Skip protection(40 sec)
Cons: Some people may be discouraged by the lack of digital optical link (to minidisc). There will be some subtle scratches on the cover during the course of usage.

| Gostfacee's Full Review: Aiwa XP-V70 Personal CD Player |
NOTE: This Review refers to the XP-V706C..The same Cd player, but supplied with a carkit~~)
Now, in midst of the wave of Minidiscs and portable MP3 players, my friends actually laughed at me when I told them I purchased a Cd player.
" A Cd player? How are you gonna log THAT around."
" You should have got a Minidisc or MP3. CDs? This isnt the 80's."
Despite the criticisms, despite seeing nothing but mp3s and minidiscs( this is a small private high school), I didn't regret my purchase. Why? Because I see the Aiwa XP-V70 as the perfect compromise between the smaller devices and the portable Cd player. Why? This little device fit in my pocket! That's right, it was that slim. I had it in my shorts pocket while playing tennis, and get this, it did not skip ONCE. I was impressed. As with the car kit..it worked just as well. Also, the battery life on this item is awesome. I kept the same batteries with extended usage over an entire month(It lasts approx. 21 hours..This outdoes most of the Mp3 players I know...longer battery life and a lower price). In conclusion, if you are still dedicated to listening to your CD collection, yet are apprehensive to log around a clunky portable CD player, the XP-V706c unit is for you. (My item is identical to the Xp-V70, except it has a car kit.)
NOTES: I have owned this item since mid-March.
The item is solid; however, it is prone to scratches thorough inevitable accidents. (i.e. dropping it)
PRICE: Lately, I have seen this item(XP-V706C) up for $70 at Circuit City and Best Buy. I found it and nabbed it off Ebay for $60.
This is a smart buy and a good deal. AIWA is high quality without the high price....
Thanks for reading my first epinion!
