| NiamhX's Full Review: Aiwa XP-V70 Personal CD Player |
I searched high and low for a CD player that I could use in my car, at the gym, and on a bus before deciding on the XP-V70. I chose it mainly because of the car kit and 40 second shock protection. I also liked the easy-to-memorize buttons, which are convenient for changing tracks while driving without ducking your eyes away from the road. The nifty little backlit display, I figured, would be great for changing tracks on a long dark bus ride.
In general, I have been very pleased with this player. The sound quality is great. I have never yet heard a skip, through thousands of miles of travel in a car with terrible shocks. It's easy to pop open, and easy to use. Its compact shape fits easily in a backpack. I usually use it in my car, so I don't know what the battery life is yet. My only concern with it has been that sometimes it will not pick up a track when I skip to it, and will go back to the first track on the CD. Then I will have to turn it off and turn it back on in order for it to play what I want it to play. Fortunately, this does not happen too often. I'm also not crazy about the headphones it came with, but since I don't use them very often it hasn't been a major problem.
I recommend the XP-V70 for college students like myself who get stuck on long Greyhound trips or in cars with bad shocks, as well as for anyone who is often on the go who wants an affordable, easy to use CD player for the car or wherever one wants to go.
