I recently purchased the INTel Pocket CONCERT MP3 Player. I did alot of research online because I didn't know much about mp3 player's, but I wanted one because I just got a computer and knew I could download music from it and from online. AND, I had a cassette WALKMAN player and I no longer use cassette's.
RECEPTION
The reception is pretty BAD. That's probably to be expected from a portable player that's so small, but I had purchased this mp3 player mainly because of the FM tuner. However, because the reception is so poor, I hardly ever use it. BUT, I can load up about 40 songs, so that kind of makes up for it alittle.
SOUND
The sound is really good. nice bass.
DESIGN
I really like the size of the Pocket Concert. It's about the size of a deck of cards. The menu is easy to navigate. Shows all the songs you have loaded along with the names/artist. Also has a keypad lock. The Pocket Concert is also supposed to be upgradable.
MEMORY
With 128 MB, It holds about 40 songs, or about 4 hours of music. That's pretty good for a portable so small. The only bad thing is that you can't upgrade or add more memory. NOT that you really need to.
BATTERY LIFE
The battery life is AVERAGE in my opinion. I only get about 3 hours of play time. BUT, I do use rechargeable batteries(not included). I use the Pocket Concert at work so I always have a set of batteries on charge. If I didn't, I would have to buy batteries everyday. BUT again, it might get a longer battery life with Alkaline batteries(included). ALSO, you cannot use a DC adapter.
FEATURES
Has Random Play and Repeat. You cannot create a playlist/group.
SCREEN DISPLAY is alittle small, but is clear/easy to read.
USB cable offers FAST song transfer.
HEADPHONES look cool, but I haven't used them yet. I'm, using my old headphone from my WALKMAN.
PRESETS: You can preset up to ten stations.
INCLUDED SOFTWARE
Comes packaged with MUSICMATCH Jukebox PLUS and INTel Audio Manager. The INTel Audio Manager Software is very good. Simple and VERY easy to use. The MUSICMATCH PLUS on the other hand is MORE complicated to learn. Not easy to navigate. and you have to go through too many steps(in my OPINION). I was hoping that you would be able to use the Windows Media Player(WMP) to transfer songs, but you cannot. WMP is ALOT easier to use. It's very simple and well organized. ALSO, I haven't downloaded any music from Online yet because MUSICMATCH has made it more difficult than WMP. With WMP, you can download songs from offline easily, the same way that you copy a CD. In MUSICMATCH, It's seems to be abit more complicated.
My INTEL POCKET CONCERT Review:
This is a very good portable player.Lots of songs to load, and it's small and fits anywhere. But, the FM tuner has BAD Reception(to much static), and battery life is too short.
STILL GETS FIVE STARS
