Pros: Sturdy Case, nice accessories, good price
Cons: Using keypad is cumbersome, no remote, no backlit LED
The Bottom Line: If you want to get this unit for home use to connect to an existing stereo I feel it may be worth it.

| sfliny's Full Review: Memorex MPD8505 Personal CD Player |
Based on other opinions on E-opinions, I decided to purchase this unit at Target. It was on sale for $89.00 and I thought it would be a good buy. I was excited at first to play my mp3 discs, but somehow after using it for a week I decided to return it. I was disappointed in the skipping on mp3 files. If I dropped the cd player or moved it I noticed it would reflect the skip a few seconds later. I found that when driving it became annoying that the skipping happened long after moving the unit. The sound quality was very good to my surprise. The other feature I would like in this type of unit is a backlit LED along with a remote control. I was glad Target took the unit back and refunded my money, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
