| scareydyke's Full Review: Samsung DVD-V1000 DVD Player / VCR Combo |
What more could you ask for in a VCR/DVD combo? I don't know too much about technology aside from computers, and I was perfectly content with the DVD player on my computer, but the price was too sweet for a combo. I was able to set it up in under ten minutes, and use is a snap! Maybe someone with tech experience could add something about that aspect, but don't worry about it being too complicated, because this is one great combo!
The picture and sound are really good. I find both to be superior to my computer's DVD player. There are no special VCR functions like VCR PLUS! or anything, but the fact that both a VCR and a DVD player are included in this makes up for the missing functions. If I had to say something negative about it, the remote is kind of difficult to master at first, especially if you're used to four-button VCR remotes from the 80s like I am. It's easy to get a hang of, though.
