| urguard's Full Review: Yamaha CH10 Consumer Headphones |
This lightweight headset has to be one of the best headphones out on the market. I’ve been using a pretty crappy Maxwell HP-200 with my computer, but then I discovered the Yamaha CH10. This headphones are great for privacy. You just hook it up to your PC or Mac, and there is no static. You can also use it with your electronic music players. One of the plus sides of these headphones is the comfort level. You won’t be scratching behind your ears every 5 minutes.
Movies
These headphones are great when your watching movies. You can hook these up to your TV or watch DVD movies on your PC. The sound is so great it actually feels like your at the movie theater, as dumb as that may sound. It’s hard to find headphones without static, and these have come at a great time when everyone is getting DVD players.

Ear Pads and Volume Control
Soft extended wear ear Pads give you a sense of comfort. They also help you escape into whatever you may be listening too. It has a built in volume inline control so you can adjust it.
The Look
It’s not at all Flashy. Some lightweight headphones look so out there. This are quite classy. The extended ear pads don’t affect the look at all.
Warranty
Standard Warranty: 1 Year
Requirements
PC or Mac with headphone output jack. Also Compatible with personal electronics music players (portable tape/CD).
Test Against The Rest
The Yamaha CH10 Verses Maxwell Hp 200- The greatest difference is the comfort, static, and price. I paid 20 bucks for the Maxwell and lasted for about 3 months. Go with the Yamaha.
The CH10 Versus Sony Headphones- Yes Sony Headphones are the most popular ones out there. Sony is expensive and the quality is good. It’s a hard call. Yamaha is cheaper, but it’s sound quality is also good. The durability is what wins here. Sony will probably
last longer.
Con
The one year warranty comes into play now. The headphones are good just that one or two years. And I guess that makes sense when you think about the price, and the quality control. These headphones do gradually wear down. Not to noticeable. But it is a disappointment for a set of headphones that had many good features.
