| vega2lyre's Full Review: Panasonic SL-CT480 Personal CD Player |
I bought this CD player almost 5 years ago. I can't remember what I paid for it but it was a bargain based on how long and how often I have used it.It has played exceptionally well in all types of situations at the beach where I primarily use it. Also play it in one of my cars which does not have a CD player. This unit has endured sand, salt water, rain and extremes of hot humid weather as well as frigid temperatures. It has been dropped more than just a few times and yet it keeps on playing. Only just recently and only while in the Caribbean at the beach has it started to act erratically. But it is again now playing flawlessly. Battery life is exceptional and therefore the CD player is rather inexpensive to operate. The only things I would change would be to be able to repeat a segment of a song while the song is playing rather than going back to the start. The other thing I would have liked would be able to store the music of several different CDs in its memory. From the spec, it appears the Panasonic SL-SW947S can now do this. Having the screen illuminated at night would have also been a nice touch. The only con were the headphones which were uncomfortable.
