| daythree's Full Review: Sony MHC-RG40 CD Shelf System |
I bought this system because I wanted something small enough to move, but with a bigger sound than a boombox. This system doesn't disappoint. The bass is gorgeous, without getting fluttery or distorted, and the 3 way speakers deliver a crisp, clean mid and high. I compared this to an Aiwa, and the Aiwa came away looking cheap and tacky. That's ok for a dorm, not my living room. The black case and sleek display are perfect for me. Stay away if you like the circus lights an some other systems. I have always liked Sony products, they just seem to have a certain fit and finish to them. hey, it's not a Bose, but for 200 bucks it sounds huge.
