| oddity's Full Review: Panasonic CQ-DFX301U Car CD Player |
When the time comes that the radio or cassette deck in your car doesn’t suffice you anymore the only step up is a compact disc player. After looking at several models the one that I came up with was the CQ-DFX301U. It was not as expensive as others, but still had the features I was looking for. For all of you do it yourselfers installation was not difficult. It comes only in the silver, which isn’t bad, but I prefer black. It has a flip down face for loading your CDs, which is nice. Another feature with that is the face when flipped down is also removable, and while off you can engage a security system. While the faceplate is on and the unit is in use the settings are very easy to use. For example to set a radio channel all you have to do is go to the channel that you want hold which number that you want it to be until it blinks and it is set. Setting the clock is a little bit more involved but with the instructions it is a snap. Using the SEL button to navigate through the bass, treble, balance, fader, and subwoofer volumes is another easy feature to use. Once you have all of the setting right where you want you can move along to the level setting which allows you select from five patterns and how bright or dim you want it. When in use you have three FM bands and one AM band on the radio as well as the compact disc player itself. Instead of having to fumble around with the buttons while driving down the road it is also equipped with its own remote control which allows you to change the volume, and the band, mute or turn off/on the unit, or change tracks or stations on the unit. This unit delivers a quality sound at a reasonable price.
