| GrooVeSnatcher's Full Review: Sony Handycam CCD-TRV68 Hi-8 Analog Camcorder |
when i first got my handycam i was thrilled about the possibilities of what i could do with it. the camera it self is great for making common home movies and nothing more. what i found out is how sony completly slacked off on making this product compatible with all their accessories. without them 2 of the camera's 3 senses ( sight, hearing, and night vision) are useless outside a 10 foot radius. it is just cruel how they could so easily have made the microphone enhanser or the night vision enhanser available. They even have a little adapter that attaches on the camera but again it only works with 2 accessories which as much as i can figure are just the same to accessories that can't. Dont get me wrong sony is a great company its just they are too clever. They make all the things that make the camera better only useable when u spend another 7-12 hundred dollars on the brand new digital technology. recently i found out that the one thing i really wanted for my camera was the zoom mic so i could hear the people im taping from further than 3 yards. sony just does'nt feel like doing it. Talk about total disregard for the customers feelings. And from sony of all places. I say this because whenever I have to purchase some electronics sony is always the first company i look into and set standards with. Man sony u really dropped the ball on that one.
