The Bottom Line: Do not buy, it won't last. Search FIXYA.com and see that there are many other common problems.

| ssarrahh's Full Review: Sony Handycam CCD-TRV68 Hi-8 Analog Camcorder |
I have had a few problems with it that required spending money to fix it. Which meant I was without my camera for long periods of time.I am very careful with my camera. It stays in the bag, the kids don't play with it, I never leave it in temperatures (hot or cold), I'm very careful with it. But the camera now won't record picture, only sounds. The LCD is black and so it's the viewfinder. I looked on FIXYA.com and saw that many people had the same problem. And none have found any sort of fix for it. Had I known it wouldn't have lasted long I would have spent money on a better camera. I used to always have great luck with Sony products. I also bought a Sony DSC digital camera. That has been at the repair place 6 times now. The price was right too and it worked for awhile. Now it's just terrible. We also own the Sony Playstation 2, which too has had it's problems. Luckily I search online and was actually able to repair the item myself, without having to spend money. I'm going to start brand shopping since Sony doesn't seem to be working for me.
