| pravinkn's Full Review: Sony Handycam CCD-TRV68 Hi-8 Analog Camcorder |
I purchased this model of sony camocorder from best buy at $399.99 + tax. I did not do a price comparison .After purchasing i checked at the sony website and saw the price listed is same , but when i ran a price check from cnet.com and pricegrabber.com , i found that some vendors are offering price below $350 . So,I have learnt a lesson - do a price research before you buy . I can't return it back to best buy because they will charge a 15% restocking fee.
Other than the price, I must admit that I am satisfied with the quality of the picture and the ease of operating it.My TV does not have a audio/video input ,hence i can't play the camcorder directly to tv without buying an optional rfu adapter accessory for 40$.
The battery supplied with the camcorder will play for around 120 minutes if played continuously. The product is made in china, hence ,i believe, the lower price.
If you can afford,I would recommend going for a digital model since you can plug it directly on your computer.
