ineoeni's Full Review: Sony Handycam DCR-TRV530 Digital-8 Camcorder
I recently bought the Sony TRV-530 by mail order from Berger Brothers Inc. My father paid for it, but of course, I will be the only one to use it. My friends and I are into amateur video, so this was a definite peak in our life when my dad purchased this amazing camera.
There were many things that I considered while searching for this camera. First of all, I had to decide what I wanted. The Sony TRV-530 is one of Sony’s best Digital 8 cameras. What appealed to me the most, being the amateur photographer I am, was the fact that it had USB, and “i.Link” capabilities. (i.Link uses a Firewire, or 1394 card to send fluid video to a computer where it can be edited and sent to family over the net or put on a CD for distribution or anything at all, actually.) With these features, my options and capabilities opened a great deal. One of the most important decision for anyone who is going to buy the Sony TRV-530 is whether or not they want a large (3.5”) LCD, or a smaller (2.5”) LCD, because if you want a smaller one, you can save $100 by buying the TRV-330. In my case, I thought that the larger LCD was in fact worth it, and so far it has definitely been worth it.
I highly recommend mail order, with which you can save bundles, and also buying an extra battery and memory stick
