Cons: Battery and memory card that come with it aren't long lasting.

The Sony TRV-530 was recommended to me by an acquiantance who also owns one. I was surprised by the low cost and by the fact that there were so many extra features. Personally, I like the night vision feature, as some low light conditions were used for some of my taping. The digital camera built in to this camera is a great feature. Although the stock memory stick was only a few MB, its not too much more to get the 64MB stick. The battery it comes with doesn't last as long as I would like it too, however there are longer lasting batteries available. I would recommend this camera to anyone like me...not a professional video-photographer or electronic photo guru, just the average person who wants to document family events, and the basic good times of life with little worry that the camera won't perform. The still photos may not be the best quality, but they work just fine for emailing.
