| drgreenthumb's Full Review: Sony Walkman MZ-E900 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I bought this product so i could listen to music. It is very compact and is roughly the size of a minidisc and a mini disc case ontop of each other. The case is made from magnesium alloy is is very sturdy and durbable. The finish (mine is red) is also excellant and tough. The walkman has an excellant battery life of about 22hours just using the recharagable battery. This increases by 33hours if you use the addon aa battery pack. The 40second antishock is excellent and i am yet to here it skip even when cycling. The remote control is also very easy to use and a great improvement over previous sony remotes. However it does not control the bass and avls which is annoying. Also the buttons on the unit are very small, which is expected becuase there is no room for large buttons. This doesn't matter anyway becuase there is rarely an occasion when you need to use them. The headphones are a little downmarket for this player and i suggest upgrading them. It is very pleasurable to use and the sound is excellant providing that the recording is good. The product does not record. I think the product will last a long time becauase of the high quality build and design. You should buy this product if you already have a minidisc recorder and you are prepared to pay a premium price for a top of the line product.
