| toshucb's Full Review: Aiwa XP-MP3 Personal CD Player |
purchase date: mar 10th 2002
I purchased this AIWA XP MP3 from amm*zon.com for $60 (plus $10 ship and handeling = $69.99).
I gave it someone as a gift and now i want to buy one but amzn cranked up the price to $80 (33% increase). I'm not kidding.
Well anyway i read a lot of reviews and foudn someone's review that said that this player doesnt play directories iwth spaces in it. I was worried about that , but when i got it, it played all directories with spaces, all song filenames with spaces without problems.
I didnt do a sound quality check, or a regular audio CD check to test skip protection. SO PLEASE UNDERSTAND that i ratings of sound, battery life, durability, are unfounded. I gave this away as a gift after I made sure it worked ok.
Great LCD display can switch betwn seeing directory/ filename ot ID3 tags and other things. especially appreciated the fact that it shows time remaining in the song, my CD player in my car doesnt even do that.
I played cd-r's . didnt get to test cd-rw's . This is really a great purchase because i couldnt find one player out there that came with
1. ac adapter
2. car power (cigarette lighter plug) adapter
3. tape player adapter plugs into headphone jack.
4. Headphones (cheap looking, didnt test it).
for under a 100 bucks.
Thank you aiwa for not charging too much.
5 thumbs up on this product.
