Pros: Size, plays MP3's, screen clarity, superior sound.
Cons: Battery, does not come with car adapter.
The Bottom Line: To summarize, I chose the Panasonic LV60 and am very with the purchase. I do not believe that larger screens are necessary, size is most important.

| gmoney1's Full Review: Panasonic DVD-LV60 5.8 in. Portable DVD Player |
I purchased the LV-60 from Best Buy after comparing it to the RCA RC5400P and Audiovox 1680 models that are similar. Panasonic makes a much higher quality product and has been the leader in DVD technology. The Audiovox 1680 is bulky and looks very cheap, especially the plastic casing. It does however come with a car adapter for the cigarette lighter. The RCA you may have seen advertised on TV for Radio Shack commercials, it is slightly thicker than the LV-60 but has one fatal flaw, it becomes extremely hot. The RCA does not have a LCD screen nor does it have special sound settings found on the Panasonic...that is probably why the RCA is $100 less. The battery of the RCA lasts just over 2 hours. The LV-60 is supposed to get around 4 hours but I have found it gets closer to 3 or 3-1/2, which is plenty for my use. I also purchased a 9-volt DC converter ($10) that plugs into my car along with a cassette adapter ($15). This gives me surround sound in my vehicle without the need to use the battery.
The player is very easy to use. One thing to note is that the battery clips on to the back of the unit making it larger and heavier. It plays all of my DVD's although I did return the first LV60 that I purchased!!! The first one failed to play any DVD's and would only play audio CD's. The new one works great. Best Buy said this was the first return they've had on the unit.
