| kennycristman's Full Review: Sony SLV-N81 VHS VCR |
I bought this vcr in December 2001 and it works just fine.I have read the reviews on this site for this vcr and must say I have not had any of these problems. In fact if I did have these problems I would continue to return it untill I got a good one.The vcr I have DOES NOT MAKE NOISE and should not make noise so don't settle for it.However it does scare the crap out of my dog when I fast forward or rewind (must be some sort of high pitched thing). So does my cell phone for that matter. As far as ease of use this vcr is as easy as any other and if you did not get the hang of them you won't get this one either.New products take time to get used to and after time the next new product won't be like this one.Any way this vcr is a quality unit that records great in ep and thats the bottom line any.It is a little annoying that the time of day and time elapsed on the tape is not on the vcr window all the time, you only get one or the other pending on if you have the unit on or off.My other problem is if you used a tape from another vcr and put back your original tape the auto tracking does not always reset and you have to eject and reinsert the tape to complete the tracking adjustment.Face color should also have been an option but is not.Minor problems at best.I'd buy this unit again and again.
