Pros: When it worked, it was great.
Cons: known defective product with no desire to accept the responsibility for their mistake.
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend any JBL sub-woofer product, until JBL admits its defect issues on current product and remedies.

It appears many have had the same problem I had. Bought the system, had it for 3 months before I moved to China for a year. Came back and within a month it began popping (deafening) like crazy. Works intermittently, but then begins popping again. Always goes into standby mode. Troubleshooting everyway I could, yet no identifiable problem. Even went as far as to disassemble in order to clean the electronics of any contamination, but found they were sealed, so the environment weren't the problem.
JBL said it's out of warranty and they've no idea what the problem is...given the complaints just here, they are lying. Google and you will find many others with the exact same issue.
I used to buy JBL exclusively, but I don't buy deception, so never again and I wouldn't recommend to anyone else. Other products may be great, but if a corporate culture allows you such poor customer service and allows you to buy knowingly defective product without remedying...it can't be trusted. Anyone else with this issue, I highly recommend that you contact your states attorney general and file a consumer fraud complaint. Maybe that will snap them back into reality. Its not buyer beware in this country
.
Thumbs down to JBL. Unbelievable.
