| fragster's Full Review: Polk Audio PSW350 Subwoofer Speaker |
Picked this up at Fry's on clearance for $150--what a deal. Every bit as good as the $300 Infinity I checked out at Ultimate Electronics. Very clean bass, nothing comes out of this thing unless the signal has bass in it.
It has plenty of power for my 16'x20' living room and even though I keep every thing turned down most times (kids sleeping, etc.) it is still an enjoyable addition to my home theater.
I'm using the sub out on my 1403 receiver for ease of use. I've played around with the large/small setting for my fronts (Infiniti EntraTwo) and I prefer the Large setting so they are producing bass also. The sub provides the part that you can feel anywhere in the room--I love it! Movies are so much more enjoyable--almost large theater experience with rumbling bass and I don't even have satellites or a center yet!
I wasn't planning on buying a subwoofer at first but made the mistake of checking out the Infinity when purchasing my Denon receiver and had to have one. Fortunately, this unit came along to satisfy my craving for bass without emptying my pocketbook.
I did a little research before buying since I wasn't able to hear it first and couldn't find a negative review on this unit.
