alexkr's Full Review: BIC America DV-62SI Main / Stereo Speaker
I was looking for a pair of small reasonably priced bookshelf speakers for my bedroom, and I came across BIC America Venturi DV-62SI speakers. I bought them online, and when they arrived they surpassed all my expectations. Sound Quality I use BIC America Venturi DV-62SI speakers predominately for listening to music, in a simple stereo setup. The sound these speakers produce is well balanced, with crispy clear highs and punchy lows. The mids can be just a touch muddy at higher volume though. The lows extend down all the way to 43Hz, which is quite surprising given the small size of these speakers. The overall sound has a very natural, although somewhat bright, quality. Technical Details BIC America DV-62SI are 2-way speakers, with 6.5” woofer, just 14.25” tall. Yet they boast 43Hz-21kHz frequency range, and can handle up to 175 watts of power per channel. At the same time these speakers are very sensitive, and they produce clean clear sound even at a very low volume. The vent port is located in the back of the speaker, so it is important to position these speakers appropriately. The ¾” tweeter is cooled by a ferrofluid, which is quite unusual for speakers that inexpensive. Design BIC America DV-62SI speakers are very stylish. The front of the cabinet has a unique angular construction that lowers distortion and breaks the mold of boxy little bookshelf speakers at the same time! These speakers come in black and white oak finish. Mine are black with tiny pinkish streaks which make them look quite interesting.
