Pros: Good sound Quality for the $$. alpine=quality. do a good job considering they are small
Cons: its a 4" speaker, not 3 way. bought from crutchfield ripped off big time.
The Bottom Line: Good 4 inch speaker for those who dont want to spend alot 4"'s just arent too great though so if possible try and replace any 4's with 5.25's.

| rolla97's Full Review: Alpine SPS-1029 Coaxial Car Speaker |
i bought these speakers to replace the stock 4 inch speakers in the front doors of my 1997 Toyota Corolla. At the time i had already added a new Headunit and new Pioneer 6.5 inch rear speakers. The new HU put out much more power than the stock tape deck so the flimsy stock speakers couldnt handle it and would sound really distorted. After hearing the amazing difference with the pioneers in the rear i got the alpines. I didnt notice as much of a difference with these probably because of where they are located. All i can really say about them is that they are good quality, and emit quite crisp mids and highs for a 2 way 4 inch speaker. They still dont sound great when i turn the bass up, but 4" speakers arent designed to handle bass. I recommend these speakers to anyone looking to upgrade crappy stock 4 inch speakers. You wont be disappointed.
Anyone who has a 93-97 corolla and is thinking about replacing speakers. Trust me the front doors are much harder to replace then the rear speakers. I replaced the rears myself w/o problems but couldnt get all area's of the door panel removed to replace the front ones. Not to mention the Front speakers were riveted in so u need a drilled to get them out!
