| adam728's Full Review: Rockford Fosgate Power 360.2 Car Amp |
As with all Rockford amps, this one is under rated. It claims 360 watts RMS when bridged, but most all of the birth sheets that come with them show a real out put of 450-530 watts RMS. That means you are getting free power!
Lots of people say Rockford has taken a dive in quality, and that their products sold at Best Buy are inferior. Both of these are not true! Rockford has always, and continues to have, excellent quality products. Their Best Buy lines simply have a different number in the casing. That's it. At Best Buy you get a 360aII, every where else you get a 360a2. There are NO other differences.
This amp is pretty clean. They may not have THD ratings as low as Precision Power or Zapco amps, but 99.9% of people could NEVER tell a difference. This amp works very well for pushing a sub, or even a few lower power subs. It is also great for pushing components. It is a great all around amp, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Some people say "why get that 360 watt Rockford amp when I can get that 1000 watt Power Acoustic for the same price?" Well, if you hooked them both up and found their RMS, the Rockford would beat the pants off the other amp, and sound 1000 times better while doing it.
If you are looking for a new amp, this one (or any other Rockford) is a choice you can't go wrong with. Clean power, more power than rated at, and very durable.
