Pros: It records! Also great reception!
Cons: no bias switch, uses normal bias tapes only
The Bottom Line: If you are somebody who needs a small, personal stereo and likes to record off the radio or lectures, I would definately recommend this unit.

| analogrulz105's Full Review: Panasonic RQ-A200 Personal Cassette Player |
I bought this unit about 3 years ago. I was looking for a personal stereo that could record off the radio as well as a built in mic. Most were expensive. But I finally found this Panasonic at J&R music world for $50. It can record right off the radio. Although it uses an analog tuner, I found that at least on this unit, it was very easy to tune and got clear reception, even on distant stations. I mainly use this to tape radio stations when I travel out of my area. It has done the job quite well. For such a compact recorder, the tapes came out pretty good. Obviously it's not gonna sound like recording off your home tape deck, but genereally it's good enough for taping off the radio. I've also recorded off the built in mic, and it also does a pretty good job.
