Pros: Good sound, nice features, looks nice!
Cons: Not much ability to change sound. Only 3 CD's.
The Bottom Line: Good, but a slightly more expensive one with more features is the way to go.

| canuckkev's Full Review: JVC MX-K3 CD Shelf System |
This mini-system is a huge improvement on my last audio system. JVC is a good brand for audio, and the speakers on this system prove that. FM radio sounds great, never mind the awesome quality of CD's.
Specs
-----
3 CD changer
2 70 watt each 3-way speakers
2 tape decks
30 preset stations
and much more...
Features
--------
Well, it has many. One I like great is the Daily On time. I use it as my alarm clock! You can also program it to record on a tape at a certain time, so you can catch something on the radio easily. It has all the standard
CD playing options, like random, program, repeat, and one disc random. And another neat little feature, is it's ability to lock the tray, so your roommate can't borrow your CD's! I also like the ability to open the tray to the other
Sound
-----
Okay, like I said it sounds great. But, you can't change the sound of the sound very much. It has 3 preset settings: Rock, Pop, Classic. Also, flat. No equalizer. And there is either Active Bass Extension on, or off. Only two bass settings. So if you like to fiddle with stuff like that, then this is not the system for you.
Use
---
As mentioned, it can be set to turn on automatically. And with the press of the [CD Play] button, or the [FM/AM] button, or the other play buttons, it turns on automatically. This is using the remote by the way.
Overall
-------
I got it for cheap, so it was a good deal. Maybe a slightly higher cost system that has more features is the way to go though. But it sounds great! And, I really like the silver look too.
