Pros: Looks great with chrome finish and blue lights, many features to get the perfect sound.
Cons: Looks so good you feel bad putting it somewhere it can not be seen.
The Bottom Line: I would defiantly recommend this amplifier to someone who wants to put power into smaller speakers, wants total control over the sound that comes out and a great looking amplifier.

| midnightz's Full Review: AudioBahn A2301Q Car Amp |
I drive a 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. When I first purchased the car it did not even have a tape player. So I got a CD player head unit, just to realize I had some bad speakers, so I replaced the two 4x6s in the dashboard. Hanging from the rear deck were two factory 6x9s, they produced some pretty good bump for being 15-year-old stock speakers. I thought if they sound that good, what could brand new speakers hooked up to an amplifier do? I decided to get two Audiobahn ABF39Q 6x9 speakers and the Audiobahn A2301Q amplifier. After installing everything myself I could not wait to hear my creation. Popped in my favorite CD that had plenty of bass and turned the system on. I was happy first that everything worked and then even happier to hear the clarity and power of the music coming from my trunk. After playing with all the features on the amplifier and creating that perfect sound I was looking for those speakers hit hard, someone might mistake them for subwoofers. So hard I really would not need subwoofers but I was scared it might damage the speakers to play them like that so I turned off the bass boost on the amplifier. Now I get amazingly clear mid-bass, mids and highs no matter how loud I play my music.
The Amplifier has a whole bunch of features to tweak every part of your music to get your speakers to play just how you want them to.
-Variable Gain Control: a rotary control that allows you to match the input sensitivity of the amp to the particular source unit you are using
-Subsonic Frequency Control: a rotary control that allows you to filter out unwanted bass frequencies. The subsonic filter in this amplifier is continuously variable from 20Hz to 50Hz.
-High-pass Frequency Control: a rotary control that allows you to adjust the frequency of the high-pass crossover from 50Hz to 750Hz
-Low-pass Frequency Control: a rotary control that allows you to adjust the frequency of the low-pass crossover from 50Hz to 120Hz
-Bass Boost Switch: adds 18dB at 50 Hz when on
The amplifier has a few features built in to protect itself from damage including:
-Thermal: shuts off the amp when the operating temperature is too high
-Input Overload: shuts off the amp as a result of low voltage or over-voltage
-Short Circuit: shuts off the amp due to speaker or DC short
A few other features include:
High Gloss Chrome-Plated Finish: This amplifier has a high-gloss chrome-plated finish on the top and on all sides. It even includes a pair of white cotton gloves with the amplifier to prevent fingerprint smudges when mounting the amp.
Digital Voltmeter: On the top of this amplifier is a digital voltmeter with cobalt blue illumination. The interior circuit board illuminates as well.
Cooling Fan: There is a built-in cooling fan on the top of this amplifier, which is activated whenever the amplifier receives a signal from the remote turn-on lead. If the remote turn-on lead is connected to your radio, then the cooling fan will run whenever your radio is turned on. The amplifier will shut down if the internal temperature reaches 158 degrees F.
