| PowerDman's Full Review: Yamaha NSA-200XT Main / Stereo Speaker |
I got these speakers about a month ago and so far so good. What I was looking for was quality sound for movies and enough of a hit for music. I bought them at Best Buy and from the wide selection of speakers they had, these were the ones I liked most. The $400 dollar JBL's were the best looking and packed quit a bit of base, but the sound quality just didn't match up to the Yamahas. The other choice was $200 Vegas, which had the most bass I would hafto say, but the sound wasn't as crisp as I wanted it.
Now the Yamahas have crisper sound than Bose, and a little less bass than the Vegas. So I fugured I rather have good sound coming out of the speakers with a little less bass, and spend a little extra cash on a sub, than buying the Vegas or the JBL's. With a Vega Sub these speakers I would hafto say are definetly worth the money. They look good, sound good, and handle 110 watts of continuas power, and max out at 220 watts which I don't know of any reseavers that can produce that much. I got them hooked up to my Yamaha reseaver that is 110 x 5 and the combo works great.
