Pros: Great sound for both formats, easy to use.
Cons: No power button on remote control.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone who is ready to enter the world of SACD. It's a step you'll be glad you took.

| echoofformless's Full Review: Sony SCD-CE775 5-Disc CD Changer |
This SACD/CD player really gets the job done for a nice price. It has all the features you could ever need and it has a nice sound for such an inexpensive unit.
I feel no need to bore you with details about what color the front lights up, or how the remote is laid out.
But I will say I found it silly not to include a power button on the remote control. One would expect to have the desire to turn the unit off without getting up.
But this unit does have some nice features you don't often see on other units. It has CD text compatablity which is great for SACD's which are all encoded with this feature, but it also reads cdr's that have text info written on them. (those who use computer burners might do well to ensure they are writing this stuff on their cd's)
But my favorite feature is rather simple: at the touch of a button on the remote, one can turn off the front panel's light-up display; a feature that is perfect for those special times when a comptely darkened room would compliment the mood fo the music.
I just replaced my old JVC five disc changer with this unit and I couldn't be happier. I now have a great sounding cd changer with SACD compatability. I'm smiling.
