Panasonic offers a 2.4GHz cordless phone with a speakerphone and a keypad in the base. Plus you get a digital answering machine and two line operation for two different phone lines. This is a very attractive phone in the color black loaded with a lot of features.
~~~ Features ~~~ 2.4 GHz (SST) & (TDD)
The Panasonic KX-TG2593B uses 2.4 GHz (Gigahertz) for the clearest possible reception.
SST
SST is Digital Spread Spectrum technology to give you a better output power and greater range.
TDD
TDD is Time Division Duplex for extra security to keep someone from monitoring your conversations.
Digital Answering Machine
No tapes and a flash memory to save your messages during a power outage. There is about 15 minutes of recording time and the machine will tell you the time and date that they called.
Two Line Operation
The phone will light up a light indicating which line is in use when using two different phone lines.
Dual Caller ID
You can view one Caller ID on the handset and one the base even if you are using one of the lines. It will store up to 50 callers for recall and callback capability.
Speakerphone
The speakerphone uses digital circuitry to reduce the echo and dropout sounds.
Two Way Paging
You can communicate between the headset and the base unit like an intercom.
Lighted Keypad
The keypad is illuminated for use in dark areas.
~~~ Other Features ~~~
Standby Battery Life of eleven days
Talk Time about 4.5 hours
Call Waiting Caller ID
One Touch Dialing
Handset Volume Control
Ringer Volume Control
Quick Recharge
LCD Call Counter
Switchable to Tone or Pulse

~~~ My Final Thoughts ~~~
This phone is extra nice when having two different phone lines, it lets you know which one is ringing and which one is in use.
The looks of the phone and base are very nice with a good layout of all of the controls for use of the phone, speakerphone and the digital answering machine.
The phone has a good clear sound and outside of the house the reception was good to my mailbox about 150 ft. away. Though I have herd some 900 MHz phones with as good a sound and clarity as the Panasonic KX-TG2593B.
The answering machine part had to be set up with a time and date for proper playback of when the person called. You can record your own messages or use the one provided.
I used the phone outside in my garage about 60 ft. from the house to communicate with the base and the conversations where pretty good.
Using the speakerphone impressed me the most of all, I usually hate speakerphones because I have a hard time understanding through them but this one did a very nice job.
Price for retail is $279 but it can easily be found for under $200 and on the Internet at a low price of $169.
Overall - a pretty nice phone and answering system.
