Pros: Its looks are sleek.

Cons: Rewind and fast forward remote function is terribly designed

The Bottom Line: Worhtless piece of plastic.

While the unit looks very impressive, its performance leave quite a lot to be desired. From the poorly designed remote control, to the poor sound quality, to the unusually high sensitivity to disc scratches, this unit is virtually worthless. This unit will pause periodically while playing a disc, apparently far too sensitive to dirt and scratches on the disc. Some discs are completely unplayable in this player, but play fine in others. I would highly recommend anyone considering the purchase of a DVD player pass this one up. Performance is FAR below that of less expensive players. With Costcos short return policy and Phillips unwillingness to support their products, we are stuck with a very large paperweight.
