Pros: The price! Diamonds! The look! Diamonds! The name! Did I mention the diamonds?
Cons: It's hard to get a perfect fit. And, okay, the diamonds are tiny.
The Bottom Line: If you can find it for a good price, I say go for it. You'll love this watch!

| bluedot-79's Full Review: Bulova 96R19 Wrist Watch for Women |
Okay, I'll admit it, I was not in the market for a new watch. Especially not one with a suggested retail of $499. But, this watch is a beauty...and the advertising people at Bulova did an excellent job of making it look like it was something I had to have this past Christmas. Of course, Kohls' great prices had a little to do with it, too. We paid a mere $259 for this watch!
What comes in the box:
When you purchase this watch, you'll be getting a beautiful stainless steel watch with 16 points of diamonds. The watch comes on a little pillow in the box and in the box you'll find your owners guide and your two year limited warranty information.
The Watch:
As I said before, this watch is one I think is really pretty. It has Quartz movement, but is not labeled as Swiss (the leader in timepieces), so I have to assume that it is Japanese movement. The watch is labeled as water resistant, which means that it is rated as such for a depth of about 100 feet.
The case is a good size (about 30mm) and made of stainless steel...highly polished to shine like nobody's business. The 16 diamonds are set in the surround.
The watch face features an attractive white dial, silver/illuminating hands and markers, and also has three chronographic dials. The upper right dial is the 24 hour subdial, the upper left is for elapsed minutes, and the bottom dial is for elapsed seconds. There is a date display over the "4" spot. I find it large enough that it is very easy to read. The crown unscrews easily and as you pull it out you will feel two stops; the first stop is for setting the date and the second is for setting the time.
The mineral crystal is a very good quality and resists scratching.
The links of the strap are beautifully designed with a pattern of high polished and brushed metal links. While the links are removable, I think they're difficult to remove without the proper tools. The people at Kohls were able to make my watch fit at no additional cost, but if they wouldn't have, I would defintely recommend taking it to a jeweler.
The clasp is a double hidden deployment buckle. Basically, that just means that you can't see it when it's closed to your wrist. The bracelet looks continuous. It opens wide so the watch is easy to get on and off your wrist, no matter the size. However, I feel like if you have a small wrist, it limits the sizing. I wasn't able to get a "perfect" fit. It was either going to be very tight or loose enough to move around on my wrist. I would have preferred something in between.
The owner's guide, although small, is in three languages, English, Spanish, and French. It explains how to use the features of the watch, and gives detailed warranty information.
The Pros:
It is a beautiful watch with what I think is the look of an expensive watch, but at a great price. There are more features that you'll likely use, but it is water resistant, includes a date, and is easy to read.
The Cons:
The only con I have found is the issue getting the strap to fit perfectly. Other than that, I have found no flaws.
Overall Impression
At the price I paid, well worth it. I get plenty of comments on it and I love to look at it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new watch.
