I had never even heard of this movie. I found it while browsing through a list of favourite movies made by a friend of a friend.

I watched it inmediately and was blown away by bothoRIG the storyline and animation.

9 revolves around a rag doll (the ninth of his kind) and his "siblings", all created by a scientist who places his own soul into each of them. Left to fend for themselves in a city destroyed by a terrible war, 9 and his new friends must find a way to save the world around them and defeat the machines terrorizing it.

9 is not what I would call a children´s film. It contains a lot of scary and violent scenes and  is rated PG-13 because of this. There are scenes that could easily move to tears and others that are sweet and endearing.

The movie was produced by Tim Burton and his influence is noticeable throughout the entire film. From the haunting setting to the brave-hearted heroes, 9 is a non-stop demonstration of Burton´s spectacular creativity.

The only thing I found astonishing was the lack of music during the movie.

9 is an unpredictable and imaginative work of art that does not fail to impress.
