Fantastic headphones for the price.

Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Inexpensive, high quality, clear and accurate response
Cons:Same as any other closed ear headphone, can get warm on the ear over time
The Bottom Line: For the average home user, these headphones are perfect. They are inexpensive and have an incredible tonal range and power. I highly recommend these.
I am getting back into playing guitar again. I have been away from it for nearly ten years. When I was first playing, I usually played through amps and occasionally through headphones - the headphones that I had were so bad that I usually preferred the amps.

Now that I live in an apartment and have to take into account that not everyone will want to hear me playing guitar, the headphones are a much more crucial part of my setup.
Also, I don't even own amps anymore. I currently plug the guitar into my Apple Powerbook and the record that way, adding effects on the fly and listening through my headphones.
I will be buying a Digitech GNX4 once that is out, then that will run into the Powerbook and I can use the various amp simulation sounds on that for my headphones as well.
I spend a lot of time on my computer, the Powerbook, with my feet up on the coffee table and the computer on my lap. I like to listen to music while I am doing work at home, but I don't want to disturb anyone here - these headphones are absolutely fantastic for that. I can sit on the couch and listen to music and nobody around me notices - they can watch TV and I can listen to music - two separate audio worlds, neither spoiled by the other.
I bought the headphones off of MusiciansFriend.com while they were having a special on them, I believe they were $20. For the money, I have never had a better pair of headphones.
The audio range on them is pretty standard for what headphones these days claim, but when actually using them they are just incredible.
I listen to a range of music, from classical to jazz, funk to blues, metal to classic rock, and even some country guitar sounds (not a huge fan of the singing). These headphones reproduce all of the sounds I know so well in there, and they are fantastic at producing a clear bass signal.
Other reviewers on here have said that the bass isn't clear at higher volumes, so as a test I listened to it a high volume than I normally would - the bass stayed strong and my ears gave out - the whole point of listening to headphones is to isolate the sound and have it at a volume that is just the minimum of what you need.
These headphones can go quite loud and if you are getting them to distort, it is at a volume that I can't imagine wearing without hearing damage. Perhaps if you like to wear them around your neck and not actually on your ears.
They are lightweight and comfortable for long sessions - as with any closed ear system that I have ever used, these will make the ears a bit sweaty over time - a gross concept, but one that I have noticed with all closed ear systems.
It is a trade off, the dryness of the open ear systems at the cost of poor sound quality - or the massive increase in sound quality, but a limit as to how long you can have them on.
These are the most comfortable ones I have used - that said, I don't spend much time with high end audio headphones on - so perhaps there are record producers out there that would find these poor quality compared to the highest end products.
For the money, these are all around great headphones that will reproduce a wide range of audio sounds and styles clearly and accurately. There is a strong bass response to them that you will never find in open ear units.
As with any closed ear headphone that is larger, I wouldn't recommend these for exercising in - you will just look silly and they will be uncomfortable since that is not what they are designed to do.
I highly recommend these headphones for any home use.
